- Flat-roof line-set and drain issues. Cupertino Eichlers route the mini-split line-set and condensate across a flat roof or post-and-beam ceiling. A sagging drain backs up and trips the Daikin float, showing an A5 flag. I re-slope the line and seal the penetration so it drains and does not leak onto the beams.
- Indoor head sensor fault. A Daikin wall head that runs too cold or too warm often has a drifted indoor coil thermistor, sometimes with an A1 or sensor code. I meter the thermistor, compare to spec, and replace it so the head holds the room at the setpoint you actually asked for.
- Outdoor inverter overcurrent. An L5 overcurrent on a Cupertino Daikin condenser can be the compressor or the inverter board. I test the compressor windings and the drive separately so I replace the part that actually failed, not the more expensive guess.
