Common repairs we do
What we close on the truck.
- Drive coupling wear. The magnetic coupling that spins the auger is a wear item, and once it slips, the bowl stops mixing while the motor keeps turning like nothing's wrong. We replace the coupling and check the shaft for scoring.
- Sealed system and evaporator problems. If the bowl won't freeze, or it freezes solid and jams the auger, we're usually looking at the sealed refrigeration circuit or the evaporator. Any refrigerant work is handled under CSLB #1136642 and EPA 608 certification.
- Leaking bowl gaskets. A hardened or cracked bowl gasket lets product seep out around the base and pulls warm air into the bowl, so it never holds temperature right. We replace the gasket and seal kit and check that the bowl locks down properly.
