Bryant in Moraga
Bryant heating and cooling in Moraga.
Moraga is a quiet town of 1960s and 1970s ranch and split-level homes, with bigger custom houses climbing the hills near Campolindo and Saint Mary's. Many of these original ranches still run the Bryant gas furnace they were built with, and plenty have added a Bryant heat pump or AC to deal with the inland summer heat that sits in this valley.
Because Moraga is tucked behind the hills it gets warmer than the bay-side towns, so cooling matters here. The larger hillside homes often need two zones to keep the upstairs comfortable, and Bryant Evolution variable-speed gear pairs well with that. We run all Moraga HVAC through Bay Area HVAC Service and keep matched Bryant parts for the communicating systems.
Andrew runs ADRIUM out of San Ramon, we are EPA 608 Universal and CSLB licensed under 1136642, and we give written quotes every time. The $75 diagnostic is waived with the repair.
Common repairs we do
What we close on the truck.
- Two-zone damper and zone board faults on hillside Evolution systems. The bigger Campolindo homes often run a single Bryant Evolution air handler feeding two zones through motorized dampers. When a damper motor stalls or the zone board loses a zone, one floor gets all the air and the other goes cold. I test each damper actuator and the zone board outputs before condemning the whole control.
- Cracked heat exchanger on aging Bryant ranch furnaces. The original furnaces in 1960s Moraga ranches are decades old now, and the heat exchanger can crack from years of cycling. That shows up as a flame that rolls or a CO concern. I inspect the exchanger with a camera and a combustion analyzer and give you a straight read on repair versus replacement.
- Defrost control board failure on hillside heat pumps. Heat pumps up in the cooler hill pockets run defrost cycles in winter. When the Bryant defrost board or its sensor fails, the outdoor coil ices over and heating output drops. I check the defrost thermostat and board logic so the unit clears frost properly instead of freezing solid.

FAQ
Bryant in Moraga questions, answered.
-
How far is Moraga from your San Ramon base and what is the route?
It is a short run for us. From San Ramon we come over through Walnut Creek and Lafayette, both Moraga neighbors, then down into town. Orinda is also right next door if we are routing from that side. We book Moraga seven days a week. -
My older Moraga furnace might have a cracked heat exchanger. Will you check it honestly?
Yes. I inspect the exchanger with a camera and run a combustion analyzer, then tell you exactly what I see. If it is safe to repair I will say so. If it is cracked and a safety issue, I will not push you toward a part that does not fix it. -
Can a Bryant Evolution system run my two-story hillside home in two zones?
It can. The Evolution variable-speed equipment modulates output, which works well with two zones and dampers so your upstairs and downstairs hold their own temperatures. We confirm the duct and damper layout at the estimate and give you a written quote.
