Estate kitchens on the bigger properties often run a whole-house filtration or softening system, and that changes how scale builds and how the grind behaves, so I check the water setup along with the machine.

What we repair on the bench.

Grinder dosing drift on Oracle and Oracle Touch. The built-in grinder is the heart of these machines, and worn burrs or a clogged chute throw the dose off from one shot to the next. I pull the burrs, measure the wear, clear the path of fines, and reset grind and dose so they repeat. If the burrs are past their life I show you the wear measurement first, since new burrs shift the grind setting you are used to.
Temperature swings on a Dual Boiler. The Dual Boiler and Oracle keep brew and steam heat on separate boilers, and a shot that reads hot one pull and cold the next usually points to a heating element, a temperature sensor, or scale on the boiler wall confusing the PID. I test each boiler under power, read the sensors, and check for buildup before I decide what to replace. Guessing wrong on these machines gets expensive fast.
Scale buildup in filtered or softened water setups. A house filtration or softening system does not always stop scale the way people expect, and a high-end Breville that has slowed down often needs more than a quick descale. I run a proper descale, inspect the boiler and valves for buildup, and set a maintenance schedule around your actual water rather than the generic interval in the manual.
