- Burner that lights on the second or third try. Slow ignition on one burner usually means the electrode gap has changed, the tip is dirty, or the cap is off-center. We clean and set the gap, reseat the cap, and check that the burner lights on the first spark.
- Hood fan that will not switch off. A hood that keeps running after it is switched off usually has a stuck switch contact or a relay welded shut on the control board. We test the switch and the relay, replace the one at fault, and check that the hood powers down on command.
