- Soot on the oven ceiling or a smell when it heats. A yellow, sooty flame in a gas oven means incomplete burning. We clean the burner and orifice, check the air setting and the gas pressure, and watch the flame through a full preheat. Until it is fixed, keep the kitchen ventilated or leave the oven off.
- Range that rocks forward when the door is open. An anti-tip bracket keeps a range from tipping under the weight of an open door and a loaded rack. If the bracket was left out after a floor or cabinet change, we fit it and level the range on its adjustable legs.
- Spark module ticking with no spark at the burners. If the module clicks but no burner sparks, the fault is either in the module or in a high-voltage lead that has cracked or shorted to the frame. We test the leads and the module output, and replace the one that failed.
