A Z-Line surface burner that clicks and clicks but will not catch usually has nothing broken. Spilled liquid in the igniter, a burner cap sitting off-center after cleaning, or a port clogged with boil-over all stop the flame from lighting. We dry and clean the burner, re-seat the cap, and check the spark gap before replacing an igniter. If every burner sparks nonstop, the spark module or a shorted igniter is to blame, and we find which one.

- Burner that sparks but will not light. We clean the burner ports and the igniter tip, re-seat the cap so it sits level, and check the spark. If the flame still will not catch, we test the igniter for cracks and replace it.
- Every burner clicking at once. Continuous clicking from all the burners points to one igniter shorting to ground or a failing spark module. We disconnect the igniters one at a time to find the fault, then replace only the part that is shorting.
- Dual-fuel convection fan that runs on. The fan keeps going after the oven has cycled off. On early production dual-fuel ranges the cool-down thermistor sits in the wrong spot, and the fix is a relocation bracket with the thermistor. We file it under the manufacturer's warranty when it applies.

Yes. Most Z-Line range repairs happen with the range pulled a short way out, not carried anywhere. Tell us about parking and any steps when you book, and we protect the floor and counters while we work. -
Is it safe to use the other burners while one keeps clicking?
Usually, yes, but turn the clicking burner's knob fully off and keep an eye on it. If you smell gas or a burner lights with a tall yellow flame, turn the range off at the gas valve and call us. -
We have an older Z-Line from before the kitchen was redone. Can you still get parts?
In most cases, yes. As authorized service for Z-Line, we order parts to the model and serial number. Send both when you book, and if a part turns out to be discontinued, we tell you before anything else is done.
