York in San Ramon

York heating and cooling in San Ramon.

San Ramon is where we are based, so this is home turf. The city runs from large 1990s and 2000s tract homes in Windemere and Dougherty Valley to older neighborhoods off San Ramon Valley Boulevard. The newer two-story homes commonly carry two-stage York systems, often a separate unit per floor, because a single setup cannot keep a big house even in the Tri-Valley heat. San Ramon sits inland, so summers are hot and the cooling side gets a heavy workload from late spring through fall.

Being local, I am usually here fast, and I know these tract homes well. The common complaint in the two-story houses is one floor falling behind, which points to that floor's system or an airflow issue. The older homes bring the classic single-stage York flame sensor and ignitor calls.

ADRIUM is headquartered right here in San Ramon and runs HVAC through Bay Area HVAC Service. I am EPA 608 Universal certified, the company carries CSLB #1136642, every quote is in writing, and the $75 diagnostic is waived on repair.

Common repairs we do

What we close on the truck.

  • Upstairs unit not cooling in summer. San Ramon's two-story tracts often run a separate York system upstairs, and when that condenser loses its capacitor or contactor the upper floor overheats while downstairs is fine. I test the failed parts on that specific unit and restore upstairs cooling without disturbing the working system.
  • Flame sensor on older-neighborhood furnaces. Older San Ramon homes run York furnaces that light then drop out when the flame sensor fouls. I clean or replace the rod, confirm the flame signal, and the burner holds. Fast, low-cost repair.
  • Two-stage ignitor and board faults. Two-stage York Affinity furnaces in the newer San Ramon tracts wear the hot surface ignitor and can lock out on a board fault. I read the code, replace the correct ignitor, and confirm both stages fire through the control board.

FAQ

York in San Ramon questions, answered.

  • You are based in San Ramon, so how fast can you actually get here?
Since this is our home base, San Ramon is the quickest city we serve. Most visits are within 15 to 20 minutes, and I cover the neighbors of Danville, Alamo, Dublin, and Pleasanton just as easily. Same or next-day service is the norm here, even during a heat wave.
  • My two-story San Ramon home cools downstairs but not upstairs. Why?
Many homes here run two York systems, one per floor. When upstairs stays hot, that upper unit usually has a failed capacitor or contactor. I diagnose the system serving that specific floor rather than assuming the whole setup needs work.
  • Is the diagnostic fee waived if I do the repair?
Yes. The $75 diagnostic is waived when you approve the repair, and you get the price in writing before I start.
