Wolf in Piedmont
Wolf in Piedmont kitchens.
Piedmont is one of the most Wolf-dense cities we cover. The 94611 hill-house kitchens lean built-in, and Wolf or Thermador dual-fuel ranges are on the regular call list next to Sub-Zero columns and Miele or Bosch dishwashers. Much of this stock came out of older remodels, which puts the Wolf ranges right in the ignitor and oven-sensor window.
These kitchens get cooked in hard, so the ovens and range tops show wear. The M Series ignitor and the dual-fuel sensor drift are weekly calls here. We also see warming-drawer thermostats give out late in a unit's life. Standard Wolf wear, just on a city packed with them.
Common repairs we do
What we close on the truck.
- M Series oven ignitor. Slow to bake, broiler cuts in and out. The hot-surface ignitor cracks or weakens so the safety valve stays shut. We carry it, one hour on site.
- Dual-fuel oven sensor drift. Holds at 350 but runs 40 over at 450, so high-heat roasting scorches. Aging RTD sensor. Replace it and recheck calibration, half an hour.
- All-gas range-top burner and venturi. Slow light, ragged flame, cap sooting up. Pull and re-seat the cap, clear the venturi, confirm an even flame. Quick visit, no board.
- Warming-drawer thermostat. Drawer quits holding temperature. The thermostat is cheap and it's usually the culprit. One visit.

FAQ
Wolf in Piedmont questions, answered.
-
How soon can you reach Piedmont for a Wolf range?
Piedmont is a planned-route stop on our Inner-East-Bay days most weeks. Drive from San Ramon is 35 to 45 minutes via 24 and 580. You get a written arrival time before we head out. -
Why does my Wolf oven take so long to start baking?
On the M Series that is the classic ignitor signature. As it ages it draws weak current and the safety valve is slow to open or never does. It is the most common Wolf job we run and we keep the ignitor on the truck.
