- Ranch-property outbuilding furnace not firing. A wall furnace in a barn office or guest space sits idle and clogs its pilot orifice. I clean the pilot path, replace the thermocouple, and confirm a clean light-off for the cold nights.
- Thermocouple worn from cold cycling. Livermore's cold winter nights make the unit cycle hard, so the thermocouple fails and the burner drops. We test holding millivolts and replace the thermocouple.
- Dust-clogged burner from a dry climate. The dry, dusty conditions out here clog the burner ports, giving weak uneven heat. We pull and clean the burner, inspect the heat exchanger, and reassemble it to fire evenly.
