Draft-inducer motor noise. The inducer bearings wear and the motor gets loud, then the furnace locks out on a pressure-switch error. I swap the inducer assembly from the truck and recheck the draft before I leave.
Condenser contactor wear. The bay-side air and normal cycling wear the Ruud outdoor unit's contactor so the AC chatters or will not pull in. I replace the contactor and check the run capacitor while I am in the disconnect.
