Bonus-room head not keeping up in summer. San Ramon bonus rooms over garages run hot, and a head that cannot hold setpoint there is often undersized or low on charge. I check the room load against the head and verify the charge so it actually carries the afternoon heat.
ADU single-zone head no-heat fault. On the ADU heads common in San Ramon, a no-heat complaint in winter is usually a defrost sensor or a stuck reversing valve, not a failed compressor. I confirm with the code and the valve operation before quoting any major part.
Multi-zone primary-suite zone offline. Where a multi-zone covers the primary suite plus other rooms, one zone going offline while the rest run is that head's control board or sensor. I read the code at the head and keep the repair off the healthy outdoor unit.
