What we close on the truck.

Salt-air corrosion on the outdoor coil and cabinet. Richmond shoreline units take salt air that corrodes the outdoor coil fins and cabinet, which cuts heat transfer and can lead to a refrigerant leak. I clean and treat the coil, repair leak points, and recharge to spec to get the output back.
Cottage single-zone head not heating. In a small Richmond cottage where one head replaced a wall furnace, a no-heat complaint is often a stuck reversing valve or a defrost sensor, not a dead compressor. I confirm with the code and the valve operation before quoting any major part.
Drain line backup in a tight install. Cottage installs route the condensate through tight walls with little slope, and the line clogs and backs into the head. I clear and re-pitch the drain so the float switch stops shutting the unit down.
