Mitsubishi in Concord

Mitsubishi heating and cooling in Concord.

Concord is a lot of postwar and 1960s tract housing across Diablo Valley, plus additions and converted spaces. Mitsubishi ductless shows up here on bonus rooms, garage conversions, and primary suites where the original central system was undersized. We service M-Series and MXZ setups across town.

This is inland Diablo Valley, so summers are genuinely hot. The equipment works hard in July and August, and most of our capacity calls land then. Winters are mild enough that a Hyper-Heat outdoor unit handles heating without strain.

I diagnose by fault code and we completed Mitsubishi factory training. On a converted-garage zone the install detail often explains the symptom, so I look at the line set and drain before pricing a part.

Common repairs we do

What we close on the truck.

  • Garage-conversion head can't hold temperature in heat. A converted garage takes more load than a bedroom. When that head falls behind in summer, we verify it was sized right, check the charge, and clean the coil. An undersized or mischarged zone is the usual cause.
  • Outdoor unit fault code in peak heat. On a hot afternoon a high-pressure or sensor fault can shut the unit down. We read the code, check the condenser coil and outdoor fan, and confirm charge. A dirty coil is a common trigger here.
  • One zone dead on a multi-zone addition. When an addition zone goes dark and the others run, it is that head's control board or thermistor, not the outdoor unit. We confirm by the blink code and repair the head.

FAQ

Mitsubishi in Concord questions, answered.

  • How long is the drive from San Ramon to Concord?
We are in San Ramon and run up to Concord through Walnut Creek, with Pleasant Hill and Martinez next door on our Diablo Valley routes. We batch those, so the drive does not add a fee.
  • My converted garage head can't keep up in summer. Is it broken?
Maybe not. A garage carries more heat load than a bedroom, so a head that is undersized or low on charge falls behind. We check sizing, charge, and the coil before deciding the unit itself is at fault.
  • My Mitsubishi shut off on a hot day with a blinking light. What now?
That is usually a high-pressure or sensor fault, often from a dirty condenser coil in the heat. We read the code, clean and check the outdoor unit, and waive the $75 diagnostic if you proceed with the repair.
