Blinking indoor unit with a communication error code. E6 and similar communication faults between the indoor head and the outdoor unit usually come down to a wiring connection corroded by marine air or a failing board on one end. We provide a written repair estimate after the on-site diagnosis and before any work starts.
Refrigerant leak at the flare fittings. A unit that cools weakly and ices the small line has lost charge, and on mini-splits the leak is almost always at a flare fitting that was not torqued right at install. We find it with electronic detection, remake the flare properly, and weigh in the correct R410A charge rather than topping off blind.
Indoor blower wheel fouled or drain pan backing up. Wall units in Burlingame's cool, damp air grow biofilm on the blower wheel and in the condensate pan, which shows up as musty smell, reduced airflow, and water dripping from the head. We do a proper deep clean of the wheel, coil, and drain path, which restores both airflow and the near-silent operation the brand is known for.
