In these bigger estate kitchens the KF column sometimes sits at the end of a long cabinet run, and the drain line has more distance to clog somewhere along it. Defrost water can't get out, freezes into a shelf of ice behind the crisper drawers, thaws later, and shows up as a puddle at the far end of the island or under an unrelated cabinet. I trace the drain from the column, clear the blockage, and check the defrost heater and control board before I close it back up.
- G Series Dishwasher Drain Pump, Inlet Valve, and Control Faults. Alamo's G Series dishwashers get heavy use in homes that host, and the parts that fail are predictable: the drain pump seizes or clogs and the cycle ends with water sitting in the tub, the inlet or aquastop valve fails and either starves the fill or trips the flood protection, or the control board throws a fault code. I pull the code off the display and order the specific part rather than replacing things on a guess.
- MasterCool Column Airflow Restriction and Compressor Overload. Estate kitchens here often box the MasterCool column into custom millwork that looks great but sometimes skips the vent clearance Miele specs for the condenser. Heat can't escape, the compressor runs long and overheats, and the overload protector trips or the column starts cycling more than it should. I check the venting first, because putting a new compressor behind the same tight panel just repeats the failure.
