The Cuesta and Monta Loma single-family stock in 94040 is. Those houses keep Centennial dryers and Bravos washers in the laundry room and freestanding MGR gas and MER electric ranges in the kitchen.
On the laundry side the call is almost always the Centennial drum dragging, which is glides and the belt, or a Bravos that fills and clicks but never spins, which is the lid lock. Ranges split by fuel. The MGR gas units stop lighting at the surface igniter, where the igniter glows but never gets hot enough to light the gas. MER electric units lose the bake element or run the oven cold, and a cold oven is usually the RTD sensor, not the board. We read resistance before we condemn anything expensive.

- MER electric bake element and oven sensor. No bake heat is the element. Oven running cold is usually the RTD sensor. We read the resistance before touching the control board.
- Centennial dryer glide and belt kit. Drum drags, motor whines. Glides, belt, and idler done together so we are not back in a month. One visit.
- Bravos lid lock and fill valve. No spin is the lid-lock switch. Slow fill on peninsular water is usually a scaled inlet valve. Both stocked.
