Water pools under the crisper drawers or drips down the back panel. I trace it to the actual source before replacing anything, since a bad fill valve and a cracked icemaker tray look identical from inside the freezer.
Control board faults on electronic thermostat models. Newer Haier refrigerators use an electronic control board instead of a mechanical thermostat, and in San Carlos these boards fail after a power blip from the hillside grid, the kind that flickers the lights for a second and moves on. The fridge display goes dark or reads an error code and the compressor won't start. I confirm the board is the fault with a voltage test at the compressor terminal before ordering the part.
Sagging French doors losing their seal.
