- Counter-depth units wedged into builder-grade cabinetry. Replacing the gasket and drying out the door channel stops it from coming back right away.
- Defrost thermostats drifting in laundry-closet fridges. Townhomes here often tuck a second Haier fridge into a laundry closet next to the stacked washer and dryer, and the tight enclosure limits airflow around the back of the cabinet. Over time the defrost thermostat drifts and the unit over-frosts on one cycle and under-cools on the next. I recalibrate or replace the thermostat and check that the closet door is not sealing off ventilation entirely.
