Common repairs we handle.

Condenser fan motor quitting on hot afternoons. When the outdoor fan slows or stops, heat builds in the coil, head pressure spikes and the compressor shuts off on its overload. It may restart after it cools, which makes the fault look random. We check the fan motor, its capacitor and the bearings, and replace the motor if it runs hot or drags.
Dirty outdoor coil and high head pressure. Dust and dry grass blown against the coil block airflow through the fins. The unit runs longer, draws more current and cools less. We rinse the coil from the inside out, comb damaged fins and compare pressures before and after the cleaning.
Compressor that hums but will not start. A weak capacitor or a stuck compressor can leave the unit humming until the overload trips. We test the capacitor and measure the compressor windings. Sometimes a hard-start kit gets an aging compressor through a few more summers, and sometimes the compressor is done. Either way you get a written quote.
