The GE brand itself is Haier-owned now, and the line runs from Monogram at the top down through Café and Profile to the plain GE and Adora tiers. The good news for owners is that failure modes repeat across the tiers. The icemaker that fails in a Café fridge fails the same way in a Profile. I have seen these faults enough times that diagnosis in the Hills is usually done in the first half hour.

- GE dishwasher not draining in ADU and guest kitchens. The GDT and CDT series dishwashers going into new ADUs here have a drain pump that fails early and a check valve that clogs with installation debris in the first year. If the unit hums at the end of cycle and holds water, that is the pattern. I carry the common GE drain pumps, so this is normally fixed on the spot.
- Monogram built-in refrigerator inverter compressor issues. Newer Monogram built-ins run inverter compressors, and when cooling gets weak the question is whether it is the inverter board or the compressor itself. Guessing wrong is expensive, so I test the drive signals before quoting. Being 608 Universal certified means that if it does go to refrigerant work, the same person who diagnosed it does the repair.
- GE Profile wall oven door lock and self-clean failures. A classic in larger Los Altos Hills kitchens, someone runs self-clean before a holiday and the oven locks up or the thermal fuse opens. On GE Profile wall ovens I replace the fuse or the lock assembly and check the control board for heat damage while the panel is open. My honest advice is to skip self-clean on ovens past ten years old.
