- High-pressure trip on a hot afternoon. A large Blackhawk Daikin on a 100-degree day will trip high pressure, often an E3 or H-series code, if the outdoor coil is dirty or the charge is off. I clean the coil, check subcool, and find any leak instead of just adding refrigerant to mask it.
- Branch selector actuator stuck. Multi-zone Daikin systems use actuators in the branch box to route refrigerant per zone. When one sticks, that zone stops cooling and the system may flag a U or actuator fault. I test each actuator and replace only the failed one so the other zones keep running.
- Inverter PCB heat-related fault. The outdoor inverter board sits in the heat all summer in Blackhawk. An L4 or radiator-temperature fault means the board or its heat sink is overheating. I check the cooling path and the board, and replace the PCB only after confirming the compressor and fan are good.
