Breville in Palo Alto kitchens.

Palo Alto kitchens run from the Craftsman homes in Professorville to the newer builds near Embarcadero Road and the ranch houses in Barron Park. A lot of them have a Breville, and plenty have moved up to a Dual Boiler or an Oracle. We service all of them in the home.

The call I get most on the Mid-Peninsula is a pump problem. The machine goes quiet where it used to hum, or it makes a loud rattle and never builds pressure. On an Oracle or Dual Boiler that is the vibration pump on its way out, or an OPV that needs resetting.

ADRIUM is independent and not a Breville service center, so I will say up front we make no claim to factory authorization. Andrew Kuznetsov runs the shop from San Ramon, licensed under CSLB #1136642 and EPA 608 certified.

Common repairs we do

What we repair on the bench.

No pressure or a loud, rattling pump. When a Breville stops building pressure, or the pump suddenly gets loud, the vibration pump is failing or losing prime. We confirm it with a pressure reading at the group, check the solenoid and OPV, and fit a new pump when the old one cannot pull full flow. Then we verify a clean 9 bar extraction.
Slow flow from light scaling. Peninsula tap water is moderate, but a Breville that never gets descaled will still slow down as the boiler passages narrow. Flow drops and the shot cools. We run a proper descale, clear the group and the valve, and check the flow rate so it pours at full volume again.
Grinder that stalls or stops dispensing. The integrated grinder on the Oracle can jam or quit when the motor or gearbox wears, or when a stone gets past the beans. We open the grinder, clear the burr chamber, test the motor, and replace the burrs or drive parts as needed so it doses evenly again.
