- Oven door that no longer lines up. Heavy Bertazzoni oven doors ride on hinges that wear, and a door that drops at one corner leaks heat past the gasket. We check the hinge receivers and the gasket, replace worn hinges as a pair, and set the door so it closes square.
- Burner knob that turns but will not click. If one burner has no spark while the others do, the switch behind that knob may be broken or its wire loose. We test the switch and the wire back to the spark module, replace what failed, and light every burner to check the circuit.

We are in a Marina Bay townhome near the water. Does salt air affect a Bertazzoni range?
Mostly outside the range. The stainless and enamel hold up well indoors, where the range sees ordinary kitchen conditions. The hood's exterior cap and damper are what take the weather, and a damper that sticks is a small repair compared with anything inside the range. -
Our Point Richmond Victorian has uneven floors. Can that affect the Bertazzoni oven?
It can. A range that tilts puts a twist in the frame, and the oven door may close unevenly and leak heat. Oil in a pan runs to one side, too. Our technician levels the range on its adjustable legs and checks the door seal afterward. -
Our Annex bungalow kitchen is small. Can the range be repaired without pulling it out?
Often, yes. Burner, spark and knob work happens from the top, and many oven parts come out through the oven cavity or the back panel. When the range has to come out, our technician slides it only as far as the job needs and protects the floor on the way.
