Where I find it is the Old Quad near the University, the older bungalow stock, and the mid-century ranch tracts where a 20-plus-year-old top-freezer or a garage freezer is still running. Maytag built Admiral, so parts cross-reference to the Maytag and Whirlpool catalog, and chasing that cross-reference is where most of the time goes.

On the legacy units I see across 95050, 95051, and 95054, the defrost system and the freezer are the failures. The defrost timer or heater quits, the evap coil ices, and the freezer stops holding. Cycle-defrost single-door units run long until the relay or compressor finally goes. The work itself is standard refrigeration. The catch is that the original Admiral parts are mostly discontinued, so I confirm the Whirlpool-platform equivalent is available before I open the unit. I cap diagnostic time so a parts hunt does not run up the bill.
