Many went in during the 90s when the upstairs kitchen was redone, and they have been running on those cool lower levels ever since. The village around Theatre Square has a few cafes, but almost all of our Orinda Admiral work is residential.

Defrost timer motor worn out on early 90s top freezers. The little synchronous motor inside the mechanical defrost timer simply wears out after 25 years of constant rotation. The unit then never enters defrost, or worse, sticks in defrost and runs the heater until food softens. I replace the whole timer with the current cross referenced part and set the cycle correctly for the cabinet.
Warm fresh food section from a failed air damper. On Admiral top freezers the damper that feeds cold air down to the fresh food section gets brittle and sticks. The freezer stays at zero while milk sits at 50, which owners often misread as a refrigerant problem. The damper is a mechanical part, cheap compared to sealed system work, and I confirm it with airflow checks before quoting.
