Blackhawk was built out in the 80s and 90s, and a surprising number of those homes still have an appliance or two from the original construction era. The Admiral is rarely in the show kitchen anymore. It is in the garage keeping drinks cold for golf weekends, in the wet bar area, or in the secondary kitchen that came with the bigger floor plans off Blackhawk Drive. When one of those quits before a party, the call comes to us.

We are ADRIUM Service Solutions in San Ramon, which puts Blackhawk about 15 minutes away over Camino Tassajara. Admiral was a Maytag brand, so I carry the relays, defrost parts, and fan motors that fit these units under their Maytag and Whirlpool part numbers. When the board fails, the freezer ices over on a cycle, thaws a little, then ices again, which confuses people into thinking the problem is intermittent. I test the board outputs directly and replace it with the current Whirlpool substitution.
Condenser coils packed with garage dust. A garage Admiral in Blackhawk breathes drywall dust, pollen off the golf course landscaping, and pet hair for two decades. Packed coils push head pressure up until the compressor overload trips on hot afternoons. I clean the condenser properly, verify the condenser fan is pulling full airflow, and check the overload so the fix lasts.
Wet bar fridge freezing everything on the low shelves. The compact Admirals that ended up in Blackhawk wet bars often develop a failed damper or drifted thermostat, so wine and mixers freeze at the bottom while the top stays warm.
