- Ragged flames after an LP conversion that never happened correctly. A number of Milpitas Z-Line ranges arrived from online sellers set up for the wrong gas, and the installer either skipped the conversion orifices or set the regulator wrong. The burners run yellow, sooty, and weak. I verify supply pressure, install the correct factory orifices, and adjust each burner to a proper blue flame. This is a health issue, not just a cooking one.
- Slow oven preheat in a small kitchen everyone notices. The weakening bake igniter shows up early in condo kitchens because dinner timing is tight and a 25-minute preheat gets noticed fast. Current draw below spec means the gas valve barely opens. Factory igniter replacement is a same-visit fix when I have the part on the truck, which for Z-Line I usually do.
- Hazy oven door glass in an open-plan kitchen. Milpitas open floor plans put the range in full view of the living room, so the vapor haze that builds between Z-Line door glass panes bothers owners more here than anywhere. I strip the door, clean or replace the inner pane, and reseat the seals so it stays clear. Often bundled with another repair on the same visit.
