On a Z-Line dual-fuel range, a convection fan that keeps running after the oven has cycled off is a known issue. On early production runs the cool-down fan thermistor sits in the wrong spot in the airflow, so the control never sees the oven cool. Swapping the thermistor alone does not fix it. The fix is a relocation bracket that moves it to the right place, and the thermistor is covered by the manufacturer's parts warranty when we file it correctly.
Most of Hercules is two-story homes: the 1970s and 1980s subdivisions along Refugio Valley Road, the Birds, the Gemstones and the Islands among them, and newer houses at Victoria by the Bay and Olympian Hills. We are authorized service for Z-Line ranges, hoods and refrigerators in all of them. The technician who covers Hercules is based in Benicia. Outside the manufacturer's warranty, the $99 diagnostic is credited toward the repair.
Common repairs we handle.
- Convection fan running on after the oven shuts off. We confirm the fan keeps going once the oven has cycled off, then check the thermistor's position and reading. On early production ranges we fit the relocation bracket and the thermistor together, then run a bake and watch the fan stop on time.
- Surface burner that sparks but will not catch. Clicking without a flame on a Pro or Autograph Edition range usually means a wet or dirty igniter, a misaligned burner cap or a blocked port. We clean and dry the burner, check the spark gap, and replace the igniter or the spark module only when cleaning does not bring the flame back.
- Fridge door that will not close flush. A door that sits proud at one corner lets warm air in, and frost builds on the back wall. We adjust the hinges and the door alignment before replacing the gasket, and on panel-ready models we order the seal to the panel-ready number.
