Ignitor failure on hill-home two-stage units. Larger York Affinity furnaces in the Oakland hills wear out the hot surface ignitor. The inducer runs but nothing lights. I replace the correct ignitor and confirm the staged ignition on the control board so both stages fire right.
Control board fault and lockout. A York furnace in lockout with a flashing code usually points to the integrated control board, common on units that have weathered power flickers in the hills. I read the code, test the outputs, and swap the board when its relays or ignition control have failed.
