Newer Rheem heat pump installs out toward Hillsdale sometimes come in under or over charged from the original install, which shows up later as weak heating capacity in cold snaps or poor dehumidification in summer. I check subcooling and superheat against the Rheem charging chart rather than topping off blind.
- Downtown San Mateo furnace venting checks near mixed-use blocks. Around the older downtown blocks near 25th Avenue, some of the furnace venting runs through tight side yards between close-set buildings.
