Rheem zone damper stuck on an Emerald Hills multi-level system. The bigger zoned systems out in Emerald Hills use motorized dampers to split airflow between floors, and a damper motor failing stuck can leave one zone with no air at all while the other overworks. I test each damper actuator individually and replace the failed one rather than assuming the whole zone board is bad.
Rheem condensate line backing up in a downtown closet install. The small closet air handlers common in the downtown condos and lofts have condensate lines with limited slope, and algae builds up until the line backs up and trips the safety switch, shutting the system down. I clear the line, flush it, and check the pitch so it drains on its own again.

Some of the furnaces in the older central neighborhoods near the courthouse are original units where the gas valve solenoid weakens with age and stops opening reliably, so the furnace tries to ignite and fails.
