Common repairs we do

What we close on the truck.

Eichler head E6 or comm dropout. South Palo Alto Eichlers run long, exposed linesets and wiring, so the S1-S2-S3 communication connection is a frequent failure that throws an E6 and drops the head. I trace and re-terminate the comm wiring instead of replacing boards on a hunch.
Linear expansion valve fault on an M-Series. An older Palo Alto single-zone that overheats or undercools one room often has a sticking LEV. I read the head's operating data, confirm the valve is not stepping correctly, and replace the coil or valve body rather than chasing it with refrigerant.
Condensate pump failure on a wall-mount with a pump kit. Where a head was installed below the drain point and uses a condensate pump, the pump fails or clogs and the float shuts the head off. I service or replace the pump and verify the drain path so the unit stays running through warm spells.
