Flame Sensor Fouled, Burner Short-Cycles. A dirty flame sensor is the single most common no-heat call we see on GrandAire furnaces in this region. The burner lights, runs for a few seconds, then shuts down, and the cycle repeats. Left alone, the control board eventually locks out on repeated flame failures. We clean or replace the sensor, verify the microamp signal is in spec, and check that the flue is clear, since restricted venting accelerates the fouling rate in homes with original ductwork.
Capacitor and Contactor Failure, AC Not Cooling.
