- Upper arm stopped by a tipped wine glass. A tall glass that tips over can jam the upper spray arm, and the top rack comes out dirty. We check the arm and its mount, set the rack height where the Cove allows it, and show you where tall stems ride safely.

We host tastings at our South Livermore place and run the Cove twice some nights. Is that hard on it?
Running it often is fine. Heavy use mostly means the filter fills faster and needs rinsing more often, and any broken glass should come out of the sump before the next load goes in. -
The Cove went into our Springtown house in place of an old dishwasher. Can it use the kitchen's original drain?
It can, as long as the drain is sound and the hose loops high or runs to an air gap. On a repair visit we check how that drain performs, and if the old line is slow, we say so before blaming the Cove. -
We travel for weeks at a time from our Livermore house. Should we shut off the water to the Cove?
It is a sensible habit for long trips. Close the valve under the sink, leave the door cracked so the tub dries, and run a rinse when you are back before loading it. A worn valve or hose then cannot leak while nobody is home.
